30 sqm House

Designed within Sweden’s 30 m² permit-exempt building regulations, this compact dwelling explores how a small footprint can provide a generous sense of space and everything needed for everyday living. Available with or without a sleeping loft, the house can function equally well as a tiny home or a retreat.

Generous glazed openings connect the living space to nature, visually extending the interior into the surrounding landscape. The restrained material palette reinforces the clarity of the simple gabled form, with dark timber cladding wrapping the exterior. Rain chains turn roof drainage into a subtle architectural detail.

Its dimensions are designed for off-site prefabrication and transport by truck. Raised lightly above the ground, the house can be easily positioned on different plots while minimising its impact on the existing terrain.
