Tower House

On reaching the last property of the small road, there is a house situated in a sloping terrain, with vast views over the landscape. A vacation home in the Swedish mountains, built entirely in wood. The Tower House is entered through a smaller first floor with sauna and space for skis and utilities. On ascending to the second floor, the footprint expands and offers views in all directions. In contrast to the first floor, it is fully glazed and with a balcony running on all four sides.

The main floor plan layout is adapted to how the sunlight travels throughout the day inside the building. The master bedroom in the east, catching the morning rays, the kitchen in the south and the living room in the west to enjoy the views with an evening sun. A loft is placed over the central core volume.
