Atelier Extension

A family home, in a red brick house from the 60’s with a new extension that provides the owners with an atelier for large art pieces. This requires a new entrance to separate the home and the workplace. The atelier located on the second floor enjoys a large open space, with north-facing skylights for an evenly lit space. The ground floor is integrated with the existing floor plan, connecting the new spaces in a continuous movement from the old to the new. The extension is clad in a black vertical sheet metal façade.
